All the faculty members have been the recipients of prestigious research awards from agencies having global recognition. The faculty strongly believes in encouraging the next generation of researchers, and they frequently hire undergraduate and graduate student researchers to assist them with their projects. Many of the faculty has been asked to serve as mentors or advisors on pre-doctoral or post-doctoral funding applications, and they encourage their students to learn the process of submitting grant applications to prepare them for future careers in academia.

The field of human services includes prominent positions of social and human service assistants and community workers who help people get through difficult times or get additional support. They help people find benefits or community services. Social and human service assistants work for nonprofit organizations, for-profit social service agencies, and state and local governments. They generally work full time, and some work nights and weekends. The minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent, but some employers prefer to hire workers who have additional education or experience. Employment of social and human service assistants is expected to grow by 28 % in future and they earn $28,200 to $42,480 per year.
